In November 2011, Kyocera introduced the Ecosys FS-1030MFP and FS-1130MFP monochrome laser multifunction printers. Both had OEM-rated print speeds of 30 pages per minute (ppm) and duty cycles of 20,000 pages per month. Each was equipped with print, copy and color scan functions. The FS-1130MFP included fax functionality as standard.
The FS-1030MFP and FS-1130MFP ship with 1,000 page starter cartridges. Replacement cartridges are available in a 3,000 page yield version only, and requires a chip for the printer to operate correctly.
Note that there is also a printer with a similar model number, the FS-1030d, that utilizes a different toner cartridge SKU. The machines are not compatible, nor are their supplies interchangeable.
