In late October 2004, Lexmark® announced the release of the T430 printer series targeted at small workgroups. Starting at a suggested retail price of $549, all models in the series offer 32 pages per minute (ppm)and a monthly duty cycle of up to 65,000 pages.
Several cartridge options are available for the Lexmark® T430 series, including 6,000 (6K) page standard yield, 12,000 (12K) page high yield cartridges and “Use and Return” versions of each. The T430 cartridges are not compatible with the Lexmark T420 family due to physical differences in the outer casing.
IBM® has its own version, The Infoprint® 1422, and Souce Technologies® offers a MICR version, the ST9420. Cartridges for all models require a new chip on remanufactured cartridges for correct printer operation.
