The Samsung Xpress SL-C430 color printer has print speeds OEM-rated at 4 pages per minute (ppm) for color printing and 19 ppm for black-and-white printing. The duty cycle rating is 20,000 pages per month. The multifunction (MFP) version, the SL-C480, has the same print specifications and offers print, copy and scan functions as standard. Wireless versions are available for both models, and a fax feature is available only on the C480FW model.
The supplies set is made up of four toner cartridges, a waste toner “container” and two drum units (one for black, one for color). OEM-stated page yields for replacement toner cartridges are 1,500 pages for black, 1,000 pages for color (cyan, magenta, yellow). Replacement drum units yield 4,000 pages for color, 16,000 for black and the waste toner container will hold approximately 7,000 pages worth of waste before needing replacement. All models ship with 700 page yield black and 500 page yield color “Initial” cartridges.
For correct printer operation all toner cartridges require a chip. Drum (imaging) units require a new fuse and resistor.
Note:Drum unit SKUs are also used by printers using CLT-x406 cartridges.
