In the latter half of 2012 there were three host-based multifunction printers introduced based on the Samsung ML-1610 print engine– the SCX-4650, SCX-4652 and SCX-4655 MFPs. Print speeds for the group were OEM-rated at 24 pages per minute (ppm) with duty cycles at 12,000 pages per month.
Each model shipped with a 1,000 page yield starter cartridge. Replacement cartridges are available only in a 2,500 page yield option. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
