This monochrome printer family includes the Dell 1815, Samsung ML-3050/ML-3051, SCX-5935 and Xerox / Fuji-Xerox Phaser 3428/3435. Additional models continue to be added by the OEMs based on this same print engine.
Although the all-in-one toner cartridges for these printers are physically the same and can be interchanged*, each printer model requires a different chip for proper operation. Chips are located beneath a “housing” held in place by plastic welds that must be broken for chip replacement. Static Control recommends using an adhesive to re-attach the housing since the use of screws can damage the waste bin, resulting in toner leakage.
