The Samsung CLP-610 color printer was introduced in N. America and Europe in September 2007, followed by the CLP-611 in Korea one month later. Both were OEM rated at print speeds of 21 in both color and black and white. The CLP-611 (Korea) and CLP-661 (N. America and Europe) were released in February 2008, with print speeds of 24 ppm in both color and black and white. In March of 2009 Dell released their branded version of the CLP-660, the 2145 MFP in N. America and Europe.
Toner cartridges for all five printers are sold in 2,000 (2K) page low yield color, 2,500 (2.5K) page low yield black, 5,000 (5K) high yield color and 5,500 (5.5K) page high yield black versions. Each toner cartridge requires a chip for correct printer operation.
Low yield cartridges can be used as high yield versions if filled with the high yield toner load and the proper chip is installed.
