Between December 2007 and June 2008, six printers were introduced in various geographic markets based on the Samsung ML-2850 print engine – the Samsung ML-2450/2850/2851/2853, Ricoh Aficio SP-3300 and Xerox Phaser 3250. Print speeds for the group range between 28 and 30 pages per minute (ppm) and duty cycles between 30,000 and 50,000 pages per month.
Replacement cartridges are available in 2,000 page low yield (3,500 page yield for Xerox) and 5,000 page high yield versions. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
