Okidata introduced both the MC851 MFP and MC861 MFP across Europe in September 2011, with OEM-rated print speed of 34 pages per minute (ppm) black and 22 ppm color and 34 ppm black and 26 ppm color, respectively. Duty cycles were rated at 60,000 pages per month for the M851 and 80,000 pages per month for the M861. Both models included print, copy, scan and fax functionality.
Both models share the same standard 7,300 page yield color and 7,000 page yield black cartridge SKUs. Only the M861 utilizes the 10,000 page high yield color and 9,500 page high yield black cartridge SKUs. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
