The Epson WorkForce AL-M300 monochrome laser printer was introduced in April 2013. Print speeds are OEM-rated at 35 pages per minute (ppm), with duty cycles rated at 100,000 pages per month. Other Epson models in this family have even higher duty cycles, up to 600,000 pages per month.
NEC® and Fuji-Xerox® have also released models based on the same Epson print engine. These models are available primarily in Japan.
The supplies set for all models is made up of a toner cartridge and separate drum unit. Replacement toner cartridges for the AL-M300 are available in Return and Non-return versions, both yielding 2,700 pages (standard yield) and 10,000 pages (high yield). Cartridge yields for other models and OEMs differ, but all toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
