The Lexmark MX717 and MX718 monochrome laser multifunction printers (MFPs) have OEM-rated print speeds of 60 and 66 A4-size pages per minute (ppm) respectively. Duty cycle ratings are OEM-stated at 300,000 (MX717) and 350,000 (MX718) A4-size pages per month. Standard functions include print, copy, scan and fax for both models.
The supplies set is made up of a toner cartridge and separate imaging unit, which includes the drum. Replacement toner cartridges are available in 11,000 page standard yield, 25,000 page high yield and 45,000 page extra high yield versions. However, only the MX718 uses the extra high yield version. The imaging unit/drum yields up to 100,000 pages. All yields are based on A4-size pages.
Both models ship with a 10,000 page yield starter return program cartridge. A chip is required on all of the toner cartridges for correct printer operation.
