In December 2012, Lexmark introduced the monochrome MS310 printer with an OEM-rated print speed of 35 pages per minute (ppm) and a monthly duty cycle of 50,000 pages per month. One month later the MS510 and MS610 printers were launched, with print speeds of 45 and 50 ppm, respectively. Duty cycles were rated at 100,000 pages per month. The MS410 followed in April 2013, with an OEM-rated print speed of 40 ppm and a monthly duty cycle of 80,000 pages per month.
All four models utilize the same 1,500 page low yield and 5,000 page standard yield toner cartridges, along with the 60,000 page yield drum unit. The MS410, MS510 and MS610 printers also use a 10,000 page high yield cartridge, and the MS510 and MS610 printers add a 20,000 page “ultra” high yield cartridge to the supplies set. However, cartridge SKUs vary depending upon the market region in which they are sold. Replacement toner cartridges are available in Use and Return (high and low yield) and Non-Return (high yield) versions. Drum units are available in Use and Return versions only.
Source Technologies® also offers MICR-enhanced versions of the Lexmark models.
All Lexmark models ship with Return Program cartridges; the MS310 with a 1,500 page low yield cartridge, the MS410 with a 2,500 page yield “starter” cartridge, the MS510 and MS610 with 6,000 page yield “starter” cartridges.
All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
