In February 2008, Kyocera announced the monochrome FS-1100 printer, with an OEM-rated print speed of up to 30 letter-size pages per minute (ppm) and a monthly duty cycle of 20,000 pages per month.
The FS-1100 ships with a 2,000 page yield starter toner cartridge. Replacement cartridges are available in a 4,000 page yield version only. Cartridge SKUs vary depending upon the market region in which they are sold, and all cartridges require a chip for the printer to function correctly.
