In July 2011, Epson introduced the Aculaser C1700 color laser printer, with print speeds OEM-rated at 12 pages per minute (ppm) for color and 10 ppm for black. The Aculaser C1750 color laser printer was released the same month, with print speeds OEM-rated at 15 ppm for color and 12 ppm for black. Duty cycles for both were rated at 20,000 pages per month.

In September 2011 the MFP version was launched, the CX17 MFP. Print speeds and duty cycles were the same as that of the 1750 model printer, with copy and scan functions added as standard. Fax features were optional.

All models ship with 700 page yield standard cartridges. Replacement cartridges are available in the standard yield (700 pages for all colors) and high yield (2,000 pages for black and 1,400 pages for color).
