In July 2007, Dell introduced the 1320c color laser printer. Print speeds were OEM-rated at 12 pages per minute (ppm) for color printing and 16 ppm for black-and-white printing, with a duty cycle of 35,000 pages per month.

The supplies set is made up of four toner cartridges and a separate drum unit. Replacement toner cartridges are available only in yields of 2,000 pages (color and black). All toner cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
