The Canon imageRUNNER C1022 was introduced in North America in October 2008, followed by the imageRUNNER C1030 in November 2010. Both had a color print speed of 22 pages per minute (ppm) and duty cycles of 65,000 pages per month. The C1030's black print speed of 30 ppm was a significant increase over the C1022's 22 ppm, and the C1030 included FAX functionality, a feature lacking in the C1022.
Both models utilize the same 6,000 page yield GPR-28 cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), which are similar to those used by the HP® 3800 family printers.
