The Canon LBP-3200 was released as the replacement for the LBP-1210 and appeared in Japan in September 2003. Introduction in Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia followed in December 2003 under the branding i-SENSYS®, imageCLASS®, LaserBASE® and Laser Shot®. Targeted at small businesses and home offices, this host-based printer was OEM-rated at 18ppm (A4).
Other models in the LBP-3200 family include, but are not limited to, the MF3110, MF5500 Series and MF5700 Series.
The all-in-one cartridges in the LBP-3200 family (EP-26, EP-27 and X25) are OEM-rated at 2,500 (2.5K) page yield. Although similar to the HP®1200 in appearance, these cartridges are slightly wider and do not sport the molded "fins" that distinguish the 1200 from the LBP-3200 family. Several of the internal components are comparable to those in the 1200 cartridge, and many of Static Control's replacement 1200 products have been qualified for use in the LBP-3200 family cartridges.
