This family of monochrome laser printers and multifunction printers (MFPs) includes the HL-L6200, HL-L6300 and HL-L6400 printers, along with the MFC-L5700 and MFC-L6900 MFPs. OEM-rated print speeds range from approximately 40 pages per minute (ppm) to up to 50 ppm. Duty cycles are OEM-stated from approximately 50,000 to 150,000 pages per month (for A4-size prints).
The supplies set is made up of a toner cartridge and separate drum unit. Replacement toner cartridges are available in four yields - 3,000 pages (standard), 8,000 pages (high yield), 12,000 pages (super high yield) and 20,000 pages (ultra high yield). Drum units are stated to yield up to 30,000 pages. All models ship with toner and drum units, but the yield of the “Inbox” cartridge differs with the model. For example, the HL-L6200 ships with a 3,000 page cartridge, and the HL-L6400 ships with a 12,000 page cartridge. All cartridge yields are based on A4-size prints.
A chip is required on each toner cartridge for correct printer operation.
