The mag roller section of the HP P4014, P4015 and P4515 cartridge is designed differently from what remanufacturers are accustomed to seeing. It is comprised of two parts - a “floating” upper and a stationary base section. OEM cartridges utilize a hot melt material to secure the two sections, allowing the top section to flex during printer operation.
If not correctly re-assembled the upper section can bow, resulting in toner leakage. Static Control’s mag section gasket with flexible foam member is designed to fit between the two sections in place of the OEM hot melt, reducing the risk of toner leakage and print defects.
