This replacement doctor blade can be used when cleaning the OEM is not desired or the OEM blade is damaged. The doctor blade should be gapped using the HP5525DRBSHIM doctor blade gapping shim.

Overall, when using the new doctor blade, the image density is darker over life for the black and cyan, but are very comparable for the magenta and yellow versus the one-cycle OEM.
