Brother printers utilizing TN-210, TN-230, TN-240, TN-270, TN-290 and related toner cartridges will not print if no flag gear is detected when the remanufactured cartridge is installed. The flag gear must not only be present but must be installed correctly to reset the printer and avoid this error message.

Static Control offers a replacement flag gear set (flag gear and spring) for use in these and related toner cartridges.

Please note that Static Control’s reset (flag) gear set is sold only for replacement of broken, lost, or defective OEM reset gears.
