Brother printers utilizing TN-450, TN-2220, TN-2250, TN-2280 and TN-27J cartridges will not print if they do not detect a flag gear when the remanufactured cartridge is installed. The flag gear must not only be present, but must be installed correctly to reset the printer and avoid an error message.

Static Control offers a replacement flag gear for use in TN-450, TN-2220, TN-2250, TN-2280 and TN-27J cartridges.

Please note that Static Control’s reset (flag) gear is sold only for replacement of broken, lost, or defective OEM reset gears.
